Bodart Scholarship Information:

The swim team is accepting applications for the Rebecca Bodart Scholarship. The Bodart Scholarship is funded through proceeds from our Wellsley Wave digital slideshow sales. All seniors are encouraged to apply. Parents of seniors have been emailed the application.

Applications are due on Friday, July 15th by 5pm. Late applications will not be accepted.

July 12th Meet (Wellsley vs. Abbington):

Get ready for the parents relay & coaches relay at the end of the meet! This is a fun event that always amuses the kids. All parents are welcome to participate.

Location: 101 Kellyridge Dr, Apex, NC 27502 - The pool is immediately on your left when you get onto Kellyridge Drive.

Warmups and Start Time:

Visiting team warmups begin at 5:30pm.

The meet will promptly begin at 6:00pm.

Parking

You are welcome to park in the Abbington pool parking lot, but they have limited parking spaces and encourage carpooling. Once the parking lot is full you may park along the nearby streets.

Please pay attention to the no parking signs. Abbington has two spots reserved near the entrance of the pool for the Gator Grill and for the pizza runner. Please be respectful of those spots.

Concessions

The Abbington “Gator Grill” will be open during the meet. Please come hungry! They serve hotdogs, hamburgers, pizza and other goodies for purchase. They also offer home-baked goods and baked potatoes. You may bring your own food and coolers. No glass is allowed on the pool deck. As per TSA regulations, no alcohol may be brought in or consumed during a TSA event. Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the pool area.

Swimmers

Abbington has approximately 180 swimmers this year. There will also be a parents relay and coaches relay at the end of the meet!

Pool

The Abbington pool is a six lane 25-yard pool. The visiting team will swim heats in lanes 2, 4 and 6. Please limit the area behind the blocks to swimmers and kid pushers to avoid confusion.

Abbington has a section of the pool deck reserved for our team. As you walk into the pool, the section is the far side of the pool deck. Wellsley is welcome to set up their chairs and tents in this area. The home team will be at the front of the pool.
