Practices

Practices start tomorrow Tuesday May 30! The afternoon practice schedule is as follows:

Parents of swimmers ages 10 and younger- please remember that your swimmer needs to have a parent/guardian at the pool with them during all practice times. This follows the general pool rules for swimmers and ensures that our younger swimmers have someone there if they have any issues during practice (e.g., bathroom, swimsuit, band-aid, etc.).

First Swim Clinic this Saturday, June 3rd

10:00-11:0010 & Under

11:00-12:0011 & Up

Swim Meets

The mock meet is in less than two weeks on Tuesday, June 6th! This meet will start at 5:00 and we will be hosting Carpenter Village, as they needed an away location for a mock meet this year.

Our first swim meet will follow on Tuesday June 13th. Swim meets start at 6:00 with expectations that swimmers arrive early to be set up and ready to go when races start at 6.

The volunteer role process continues behind the scenes! We will have more info closer to the mock meet and appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to figure out the best way to make this most important part of swim team run most efficiently! Please know that those taking this on are doing our best to keep everyone’s wants and needs in mind (swim team and parents).

SwimTopia App

Here is the link to the App for Swimtopia. It is by far the easiest way to keep track of information and the fastest way for the coaches to send out info about practice delays and cancellations due to weather (Tuesday’s forecast, we’re looking at you!)

T-shirts

T-shirts have arrived! Each family will have a paper bag(s) with their shirts inside. These will be at the pool for the first week of practice. Please stop by and pick them up.

Swimsuits

Two options for purchasing Wellsley Wave suits:

1. Try on suits at Kiefer Aquatics/ All American Swim (1231 NW Maynard Rd Cary)
   1. Option for girls to get a thin strap or thick strap suit for $41 w/ logo and the boys would have the option of a Male Jammer $35 w/logo or brief $23 w/ logo.
   2. Families come to the store, try on, purchase and go home with their suit. They put the logo on the suit while they wait as it only takes a few seconds.
2. Pick up sample suits
   1. Email John ([email protected]) to pick up the suitcase (118 Barnes Spring CT) to take home and try.
   2. Order a new suit from our vendor that will be delivered to your home. Username: wellsley PW: 1234

*Team branded swimsuits are encouraged but not required.
